Frequently Asked Questions

When is reversing pages useful?

Most often when a scanner produced pages in the wrong order: e.g. you scanned a stack face-down so the document ended up reversed, or your duplex scanner output odd pages from end to start. Reversing the PDF in one click is much faster than re-scanning everything.

Does it work on multi-section documents?

Yes. The whole document is reversed as a single sequence. If you only need to reverse part of the document (e.g. pages 10–20), use our Extract Pages tool to pull those pages first, reverse the extract here, then re-merge them with Merge PDF.

Will form fields, annotations and bookmarks be preserved?

Yes. ZentoPDF only changes the page order in the page tree; every page object, including its annotations and form fields, is kept intact. Bookmarks that pointed at a specific page now still point at the same page object, even though its page number has changed.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The whole operation runs locally in your browser using pdf-lib. Your original PDF and the reversed output never leave your device.

Is the tool really free?

Yes — 100% free, no signup, no watermark, no daily quota. Reverse as many PDFs as you like, as often as you like.
